lights, camera...

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if life was like a movie? Would memorable events take place at just the right times? Would it have just enough wit and humor to balance out the thoughtful and serious moments? Would the guy always get the girl? ...or seemingly lose her but in an ironic twist of fate, bump into her years later in a crowded subway station and win her affection again over small talk and a cup of coffee? Would there always be a happily ever after?

Or would it not really be what you would expect? Would it seem redundant? Boring? Predictable? ...Cliche, even? Hmm. I guess that's the excitement of real life. Reality may not be all it should be sometimes, with the let-downs, the stress, and the rough patches. That's probably what makes it reality...that it's not like the fantasy world of movies where the good guy tends to come out on top and the two lovebirds live happily ever after. But, the not-so-good times are what make the happy moments all the more better. There's a lack of predictability, which makes it more possible to take each moment as it comes and really live life. There's probably more twists and turns in real life than in any movie, and that just adds to the excitement of it.

This was a lot of pondering and I'm not sure how much of it made sense, haha. But going through certain things in life that are just so..real and raw, makes me think about things like this sometimes.

I wonder who would direct the movie of my life.
